Room Rearrangement

My parents didn’t like me sleeping on the floor in my apartment for the past few months. So they decided to bring a bed frame and mattress yesterday night. They arrived in the parking lot past ten o’ clock and I helped my parents lifting a heavy white bed frame into the bedroom. I couldn’t stop thinking that I would have to carry it out a few months later when my lease expires.

When that had been placed in the bedroom along with the mattress, headboard with room for books and things, and empty drawers (underneath the bed is a stretched-out drawer), my parents rearranged my room, putting the bed where my desk was and my desk next to the foot of the bed.

Despite the fact my desk was cluttered with books and papers and the floor with discarded advertisements and bags, I liked the rearrangement. I felt my creativity stretching out its arms with anticipation that I might do something productive.

Been a while, eh?

So okay. It has been more than a few days since I updated. A few days multiplied by eight to be exact.

I have been busy with college, procrastination, papers, midterms, more procrastination, and video games. And another big factor is the fact that I forgot I had a blog.

When college began in late September, I was all gung-ho being an English / Creative Writing major who spent $168 dollars on literature, prepared to savor the books I have brought and do well in my Spanish 2 class (foreign language requirement for humanities majors). Already I’m in the middle of the quarter and I see myself crashing and burning as I struggle to understand how to anaylze literary text the English-major way and to catch up on past tense and advance grammar in Spanish. I realize there’s a big contrast between my ideals and…sweet, sweet reality, and I’m feeling burnt-out. But it is nice to be back from an absent-minded forgetfulness.

So hello again.
